Graphene is a crystalline carbon in which carbon atoms are bonded to a hexagon like a honeycomb to form a sheet. It has strength comparable to that of diamond, extremely high conductivity and thermal stability, as well as mechanical properties rich in thickness, light weight and flexibility of about 1 nm thick. It is similar to carbon nanotubes made of carbon, but in application to compounds (rubber etc.) · paints · ink · electric / electronic materials · battery materials. It is a new material that is expected to possibly be the secret to change the world as much as iron use and plastic appearance.
