Cold Isostatic Press equipment is isostatic press technology with more than 100MPa pressure of water or the like as a pressure medium to powder products.
CIP is also called rubber press. CIP is frequently used to produce ceramic and powder metallurgy, because it tightly compacts powder with isostatic high pressure.
CIP has two types. One of them is wet type which wraps powder product in a film of rubber etc. and submerges it into a pressure medium and applies pressure. The other is dry type which puts powder in a rubber pressure type pressure vessel and applies pressure.
